Well Class Got Off To A Fun Start

Hello!

Class got off to a fun start with two videos I produced.

The boring one can be viewed here, and the exciting one still has some permissions issues, so I'm keeping it offline for the moment. :)

I'll be producing and sharing videos throughout the semester.

Here's the first email everyone got:

I'm excited to be embarking on this journey with all of you. This semester is going to rock. :)

Please register at the class site:

http://artsbusinesstech.com and at our forums:

As soon as you set up your blog for your vision (at blogger.com or anywhere else), link to it from the above forums!

And I'd like to introduce our high-tech TA--Stefan Estrada: ssestrad@email.unc.edu. He'll be advising you regarding the best technology for realizing your visions.

In class you'll be seeing two DVDs--one featuring me delivering the first lecture, and the other featuring singer songwriter Vaughan Penn, author/screenwriter Kate Wright, and a lead designer from Epic Games covering the next generation technology for video games/animation. I was originally going to show the videos in different classes, but it's actually a great way to open. The second video also features a time machine.

Attached you'll find the frist draft of the syllabus which is based on Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey. It will elvolve a little bit, but it's fairly set.

Get blogging!! Blog your vision and share it in the above forums.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 919-270-0732.

Best,

Dr. E:)
